Happy Story

Lifebridge For Animals would like to thank you for your continued generous support of our program. You have truly made our story a very happy one indeed!

Our Vets

The animals we serve are given the best medical care we can provide. By working with Lifebridge for Animals on spay/neuter initiatives we are helping to reduce the number of unwanted litters and in turn reducing the number of homeless pets!

WHY LIFEBRIDGE?

Lifebridge for Animals, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit animal advocacy organization dedicated to promoting kindness and respect for animals as well as teaching the importance of spaying and neutering to cut down the number of unwanted litters being born each day.

There are more than 45 cats and 15 dogs being born every day for each person born in the United States. Pet overpopulation is a serious domestic issue that has become a crisis that can no longer be ignored, but rather, must be addressed head on. There simply aren't enough homes to support such a high birth rate. The result is that many animals have an extremely inhumane life, being forced to make it on their own instead of being cared for and loved.

We are also trying very hard to start a TNR program here to help control the population of feral and/or community cats that need altered.  In the past nine years, we have been able to fix several hundred feral cats through the services of Alley Cat Advocates in Louisville, KY but we would love to be able to start our own program here.  Hopefully with tax-deductible donations and grants, we will be able to effectively control the overpopulation of feral and unowned cats in this area.

SERVICES OFFERED

Our purpose is to raise greater awareness as to the seriousness of pet overpopulation and the plight facing domestic animals. We will promote humane education in elementary schools as well as community groups and offer financial assistance with spaying and neutering to help reduce the number of homeless pets.

We rescue and foster homeless cats and dogs.  As soon as they are old enough to be spayed/neutered, we place these precious furbabies up for adoption to a loving home.

Benefits of Spaying and Neutering

Decreased chance of mammary tumors

Uterine or ovarian cancer is eliminated

Better prostate health

Risk of testicular cancer is eliminated

Decreased incident of fighting

Decreased urge to roam

Easier to train

Healthier happier pets
