Our Vets

The animals we serve are given the best medical care we can provide. By working with Lifebridge for Animals on spay/neuter initiatives we are helping to reduce the number of unwanted litters and in turn reducing the number of homeless pets!

WHY LIFEBRIDGE?

Lifebridge for Animals, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit animal advocacy organization dedicated to promoting kindness and respect for animals.

There are 45 cats and 15 dogs being born every day for each person born in the United States. Pet overpopulation is a serious domestic issue that has become a crisis that can no longer be ignored, but rather, must be addressed head on.

FACT: More than 600,000 puppies and kittens are born every day, compared to 10,000 human births each day. Simple math shows that there simply aren't enough homes to support such a high birth rate of these animals. The result is that many animals have an extremely inhumane life, being forced to make it on their own instead of being cared for and loved.

SERVICES OFFERED

Our purpose is to raise greater awareness as to the seriousness of pet overpopulation and the plight facing domestic animals. We will promote humane education in elementary schools as well as community groups and offer financial assistance with spaying and neutering to help reduce the number of homeless pets.

Benefits of Spaying and Neutering

  • Decreased chance of mammary tumors
  • Uterine or ovarian cancer is eliminated
  • Better prostate health
  • Risk of testicular cancer eliminated
  • Decreased incidence of fighting
  • Less need for territorial marking
  • Decreased urge to roam
  • Easier to train
  • Healthier happier pets
