REMEMBER: More than 600,000 puppies and kittens are born every day, compared to 10,000 human births each day. Simple math shows that there simply aren't enough homes for them all. As a result many animals live miserable lives as strays, forced to try and make it on their own instead of being cared for and loved. Statistics also show as many as 6-8 million dogs and cats are entering shelters each year. As many as 3-4 million dogs and cats are being euthanized in these shelters evey year.
